Race 7: Fordwater Trophy - a 45 minute two-driver race for 2.0-litre short-wheel-base Porsche 911's built before 1966. This year marks the 60th anniversary of one of motorings's most iconic creations: the Porsche 911. Having made its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1963, christened the '901' the rear engined sports car entered into production as the 911 in september 1964. Since then more than 1.2 billion 911s have been produced making it one of the best selling sports cars ever. Nearly 30 x 911' race in this Fordwater Trophy. Drivers include: Tom Kristensen, Andrew Jordan, Peter Dumbrek, Richard Atwood, Gordon Sheddon and Lars Kern - a Porshe test driver.

I was commissioned by Huawei to photograph the Le Mans 24 hour race 2018 solely with the Huawei P20 pro phone with inbuilt Leica camera. I assisted 15 media guests on how to photograph motorsport with the Huawei P20 Pro outlining the dangers of motorsport, and the general requirements of a photographer. ALL photographs shot AS IS in the phone APART from the Black and White photos which I edited in Lightroom Silver Efex Pro. Impossible to get me away from black and white after all.

The Richard Mille Rallye Des Princesses 2016 ran from Paris to St Tropez, however, I joined at Courchevel to St Tropez. ALL PHOTOGRAPHS ARE FOR SALE. On Saturday 14 November 1896, 33 pioneering motorists set off in a variety of innovative 19th Century horseless carriages, from the Metropole Hotel London, to the Metropole Hotel Brighton to demonstrate and promote the capabilities of the motor car invention. The wide variety of participating motor cars included electric, steam and internal combustion engine propulsion technology. In addition, they celebrated the new road-act of that year which increased the speed limit from 4mph to 14mph and abandoned the need for a man on foot waving a red flag, to precede each motor vehicle. This weekend in 2011, saw the 115th anniversary of the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. A true motorists dream to be taking part, with proper fuel stops and a range of good places for cars to stop. The weather held for what turned out to be a rather special day. Lara Platman had the honour of travelling with 'Genevieve', made famous by the 1953 film named after this Darracq model and 'Spyker', the race rival in the film. There are many photographs hiding. Vintage Sports Car Club practice day at Shelsley Walsh July 2017. A perfect British Summer time day when I played out with my Leica and Noctilux.
