Harris Tweed, from land to street
Harris Tweed Weaver on Harris
Weaver on Harris for Harris Tweed from Land to Street publication.
Dougie used to steal cars and create trouble until he was handed a croft and started weaving. Today he tends to his sheep, weaves and now owns his car. He was the youngest weaver to start at the new weaving academy which he now helps to run.
Harris Tweed - from land to Street. I photographed and interviewed over 100 people to create the publication. I lived on Harris for 9 months in a tent to ensure I could begin to understand the mentality of the people on the island. 80,000 words and over 100 photos in this book.
